Darkness in my path ahead.
I remember crying into my pillow one night, asking God why He felt so far away. I was raising five kids alone, grieving the life I thought I’d have, and silence was all I heard. If you’ve ever felt abandoned in the waiting, this post is for you.“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18 This verse became my lifeline when I couldn’t feel His presence but needed His promise. Waiting on God can feel like wandering in the dark. But the silence doesn’t mean He’s absent. I’ve learned that God is often doing His deepest work when He seems quiet. In my journey as a widow and single mom, He rebuilt me from the inside out—slowly, gently, and faithfully.
